Let me explain the basics of affiliate marketing. It is an agreement between two parties to promote and sell a product, where the owner of the product is the merchant and the other is an affiliate marketer. · Learn all the insides and outs of the product.
· Promotes the product to targeted market.
· Equip himself with a personal computer and an internet connection.
· Provides his own website to create landing pages, but this is optional only.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Broker:
· Accept memberships from both the merchants and the affiliates.
· Manages all of merchants products and divide according to categories.
· Provides space to showcase it for public viewing.
· Provides statistics on each products performance.
· Maintains the website and his own domain.
How does an affiliate make money from affiliate marketing? There are several ways an affiliate marketer makes money online. One way is through commission from the sales of a merchant product. There are companies that act as the middle man between a merchant and an affiliate. The merchant submits his e-book to a broker while the affiliate selects the e-book he likes to sell from the brokers list. Some merchants do not want to use broker's service. In this particular case, you may approach him directly.
Another way of making money online is by sending prospects to a sponsor website and every time a prospect fills up the application form he gets paid. It does not matter if the visitor buys the product or not.
There are still other methods, but these two methods are enough to keep me tied up. Marketing of affiliate internet programs is a win-win situation for the merchant, the broker and the affiliate. Each one has its own benefits and advantages. Bottom line is all parties have a big potential to make a make good income.
